Monday Ewans FBDI

Vice President

Mr. Monday Aluu Ewans is currently a retired public servant. Before now, he was the Director, Enterprise Development and Promotion at the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), the Federal Government Agency responsible for coordinating and facilitating the development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sub-sector in Nigeria. He was at various times, Assistant Director, Enterprise Promotions, Management & Extension Services, Assistant Director, Planning Research & Coordination, Deputy Director, Strategic Planning, Policy & Coordination and Director, Policy, Advocacy & Coordination.

Before joining SMEDAN, Mr. Ewans worked as Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager, Corporate Finance, at the Summa Guaranty & Trust Company Plc, Lagos. Summa Guaranty is an Issuing House, Stockbrokers, Financial Advisors and Economic Consultants (August 2001-July 2006). He was also a Marketing Consultant at the Chartered Institute of Management, Lagos (June 1999-July 2001), and Finance/Administration Manager, Ibeon Energy Nigeria Limited, Warri (April 1996-May 1999). Ibeon Energy is an Oil Services Company. He also worked at the Progress Bank of Nigeria Plc at various locations and various responsibilities rising to the rank of a Senior Manager (October 1986-April 1996).

Mr. Ewans holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Banking and Finance from the Abia State University (1991), Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from the University of Nigeria (1984) and he is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), 2010. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree programme at the University of America, Curaçao and also a Lecturer at the institution. He is a Fellow and the Vice President of the Council of the Institute of Business Development (2024). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate and Public Administrators of Nigeria (2023).

Sadik Abdulkadir Rafindadi FBDI

President/Chairman of Council

Mr Sadiku Abdulkadir Rafindadi brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the table, with a distinguished career spanning both the public and private sectors. As the former Director of Commercial and Business Development at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), he spearheaded revenue generation efforts across all commercial airports in Nigeria, including the headquarters. Mr Rafindadi was instrumental in driving both aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenues to new heights.

Prior to his tenure at FAAN, he held management positions at renowned organisations such as British Petroleum (BP) and Brinks Incorporated. He then ventured into entrepreneurship, successfully establishing himself in real estate and car dealership in Atlanta, USA.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Clark Atlanta University. He is also a member of the International Airport Professional (IAP) community.

Olawale Tunde Fasanya FBDI

Deputy Vice-President

Olawale Tunde FASANYA Ph.D is currently the Lead Consultant and promoter of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Training & Policy Initiative (CETAPI) Abuja, Nigeria.
Before attaining this current position, he was the immediate past Director General of the Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). During his sojourn at SMEDAN, he was, at various times, Special Assistant to Director-General; Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Ag. Director, Planning; Director, Strategic Planning, Policy and Coordination and Director Enterprise Development and Promotion of SMEDAN. Within the period June 2013 to September 2014, he was on secondment to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) as Technical Assistant to the Executive Secretary and Acting General Manager, Nigeria Content Department.
As a pioneer staff of SMEDAN, Mr FASANYA was involved in the design of developmental programmes and the formulation of the Agency’s initial Strategic Action Plan. He coordinated the formulation of the 1st National Policy on the Development of MSMEs in Nigeria and has at one time represented Nigeria on the committee set-up to design the ECOWAS SMEs Strategy and Development Charter.
Before the establishment of SMEDAN, Mr. FASANYA worked as Special Assistant to the Hon. Minister of Solid Minerals (Feb. 2002 – May 2003); Personal Assistant to Hon. Minister of State for Defence (Jan. 1999 – Feb. 2002); Chief Public Relations Officer, National Productivity Centre (1988 – 1996); and Deputy Editor, Jator Publishing Company, Ibadan, (1986 – 1988) among others.
Mr. FASANYA holds a PhD in Policy Analysis and Management from the University of America, a Masters in Public Administration from Lagos State University (1994); Bachelor of Arts, English and Literary Studies from University of Ife (1985); Advanced Certificate in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Diploma in Market Oriented Small Business Development Services from the ILO Training Institute, Turin, Italy (2008) and a Certificate in Personal Leadership and Success in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education, Columbia University, New York, USA (2014).
Mr. FASANYA hails from Olla, in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State. He was born on 3rd June, 1962 and married with 3 children.

He is a member of various professional bodies including the International Council of Small Businesses (ICSB). He is also a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations and a Certified Business Development Service Provider.

Paul Ikele B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, Ph.D, FBDI

Registrar/Chief Executive officer

Dr. Ikele is the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to Council, of the Institute, a global professional body in business development and strategy.
A business development and marketing professional with several years’ experience impacting organizational achievement and skillful development. A transformation agent with the ability to manage change and implementation of business models. Driven leader with strong cross-functional experience in strategic planning and actionable decisions. An expert in Corporate Strategy, Marketing Management, and Organizational Development and Consumer behavior. Has acquired top experience in Management Consulting, Business Development, Marketing and Executive Development. Attended Yaba College of Technology, Abia State University and obtained HND Accountancy, B.Sc. (Hons) M.Sc., MBA, PhD in Marketing. A Fellow, the Institute of Business Development (FBDI), the Human Resource Management Institute (FHRMI), National Institute of Marketing (fnimn) the Institute of Benefits and Trusts Management (FBTM), the Institute of Pensions Management (FPMI). Member the Institute of Actuaries, a Qualified Accountant and Associate the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Have acquired wide-range of experiences in various industries, he was the Registrar/CEO the Institute of Benefits and Trusts Management, former MD/CEO Noble Path Finance and Securities Limited, General Manager Business Development City Trust Insurers (former Olympia Insurance) Limited, Director Murray Gardner Investment Limited, Quest Pharmaceuticals Limited and Coaster Ventures Limited. Have served in various Committees and Council of IBD, IBTM, IPM, CITN, and NIMN. Attended several Workshops, Seminars and Conferences in Nigeria, West Coasts and Overseas. Have written and published books and presented papers on typical issues and published several articles on many national and international newspapers, journals and magazines. Godwin Nnabuenyi Ike

Treasurer

Godwin Nnabuenyi Ike is the Principal Partner of “Goddy Ike & Partners” - A Firm of Licensed Estate Surveyors & Valuers. He is an expert in Organizational Development, Property Management, Business Intelligence, and Business Valuation. He has acquired several years of national and international experience in management consulting, business development, and executive development. An astute professional, business mentor, and workplace expert with a strong blend of creativity in business competitive intelligence.

Godwin N. Ike, usually and simply known as “GODDY IKE,” holds a Basic Certificate in Land Surveying, a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Estate Management, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Development. He attended courses on “Current Issues, New Ideas, and Knowing Your Leadership Style in Sustainable Development” at Hetta Institute for International Development, New York, USA.

He has acquired a wide range of experiences in various industries. He was a Survey Assistant at the Federal Ministry of Works, Survey Division; a Federal Land Officer at the Federal Ministry of Works, Lands Division; Managing Director at Fimcoy (Nigeria) Limited; Dealer at Unipetrol Service Station; and Managing Director at Worldwide Properties (Real Estate Consultants). He also played a role in politics by vying for the Senatorial Seat of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja in the 2007 Elections.

He has led business travels to several countries, including the USA, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Belgium, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Spain, Egypt, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Dubai, and China. He has attended several workshops, seminars, and conferences in Nigeria and overseas.

He has written and published books, presented papers on topical issues, and published several articles in national and international newspapers, journals, and magazines. A passionate aviation researcher and publisher, he has researched and published numerous aviation subjects, which have been presented on national television and YouTube (www.aviationfreaks official).

Mr. Godwin Ike is married with children. He enjoys music, playing squash, golf, lawn tennis, and hunting. He is a voracious reader!

Sue Ebiene, Ph.D. FBDI

Council Member

Dr. Sue Ebeine is a veteran Business Development Professional, Client Relations, and Human Resources expert with over 20 years of hands-on experience at Megastar Technical and Construction Company Limited. He also serves as the Business Development Director at Quora Technicals Limited.

Prof. Ben E. A. Oghojafor Ph.D, FBDI

Former President/Chairman of Council

He is currently the Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Delta State by Delta State Government in April 2022, where he is making his developmental contributions for the the University sustainability. He was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) from February 2017 to April 2022. He was appointed Professor of Business Administration (Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management) on October 1, 2004
